VertdeVin
The nose offers a fine power, gourmandize, harmony, freshness as well as a fine deepness. It reveals notes of cassis, small black berries and small notes of fleshy raspberry associated with fine touches of cherry, discreet hints of iris, sweet spices, nutmeg violet as well as a very discreet hint of gravels (terroir), grilled, dark chocolate and a subtle hint of Cuben pepper. The mouth is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy/elegant frame, a beautiful tension as well as precision, suavity, a very fine density, tension as well as a small aerial side. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy cassis, juicy blackberry and small notes of violet associated with fine touches of raspberry, cherry, chocolate, vanilla and fine hints of grilled, tonka bean and a subtle hint of vanilla. Tannins are elegant and well-built. Good length.
James Suckling
This has a very pretty core of fruit to it. Medium to full body, soft tannins and a juicy finish. Well done for a second wine.

The second label of Cantenac Brown is a blend of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Brio de Cantenac Brown has expressive notes of crushed black cherries, blackberries and black raspberries with hints of smoked meats, cinnamon stick and toast. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh, plush and juicy with loads of red and black fruits and a spicy kick to the finish.
