The nose is fruity and relatively concentrated. It reveals notes of blackberries, licorice and fine notes of cassis jam. The palate is fruity, gourmand, relatively elegant, relatively concentrated, relatively fat and offers a small fresh / acid frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry jam, cassis and a touch of cherry associated with slight notes of cassis buds, licorice as well as slight notes of red bell pepper on the persistence. Tannins are fine and well built. Good length.

Dense dark ruby core. Pure, floral and fresh nose with ripe dark fruit, cassis, violet and sweet pepper. The palate is youthful, medium bodied with dense ripe fruit, polished texture, floral dark fruit notes, dark chocolate, discreet oak, some butterscotch and a long smooth finish.

Rich and plummy with lots of weight. A bit over-extracted in this elegant year.

Impressive dark-fruited depth on the nose with blackberries, graphite and very ripe plums. The palate has a superb array of rich cassis flavors, super smooth tannins and a fresh, fleshy blackberry-flavored finish. Very approachable. Second wine of Château Lascombes. Try from 2021.
