VertdeVin
The nose is fruity and offers a fine power, gourmandize as well as a very fine creaminess. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and raspberry associated with small touches of strawberry, plum as well as a discreet hint of cornflower and a very discreet hint of pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a fine suavity, precision, elegance, a fine acid frame as well as a fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and more slightly of black cherry, crunchy red fruits associated with small hints of coca, sweet spices as well as a subtle hint of toasted/caramelization. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length. A beautiful grain on the finish.
Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Berliquet gives up expressive notes of baked plums, blackberry preserves and mulberries with hints of licorice, crushed rocks, chargrilled meat and wild sage. Medium-bodied, the palate has a great core of elegantly played flavors framed by soft, plush tannins and bold freshness, finishing long and minerally. The blend is 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc and it was aged for 18 months in French oak, 50% new.
