Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The 2019 Citran is showing well in bottle, unwinding to reveal aromas of cassis, red plums and subtle hints of sweet soil. Medium-bodied, lively and understated, with powdery tannins and tangy acids, it concludes with a youthfully firm finish. While this won't be the most demonstrative 2019 Bordeaux out of the gates, it will reward bottle age to deliver a classic middleweight.
James Suckling
Notes of blackcurrants and blackberries with hints of cloves, licorice, tobacco and hazelnuts. It has medium body and ripe, velvety tannins. Juicy and round with a fruity finish. Merlot and cabernet sauvignon. Needs two or three years to soften and open.
VertdeVin
The nose offers elegance and a fine grain. It reveals notes of pulpy strawberry, crushed Boysen berry and small notes of small fleshy black fruits associated with small fine touches of cornflower, zan, chocolate as well as very discreet hints of griotte and vanilla. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers a fine acidulous frame, suavity, precision and a fine grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy Boysen berry, pulpy cassis, small notes of raspberry associated with small fine touches of violet, cornflower as well as discreet hints of zan, tonka bean and a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut/vanilla. Good length. Tannins are precise and fine.
Druvor
43% Cabernet sauvignon, 49% merlot, 8% cabernet franc.
