Andreas Larsson - Tasted
The nose is fruity, racy and offers complexity as Medium deep golden colour. Intense perfume of jasmine, saffron, orange rind, apricot and honey. A lovely texture with creamy yet fresh sensation, voluminous with layers of yellow fruit, saffron, sweet pepper and honey with fine extract adding lift and length. Long and lingering finish, excellent potential even if it is already very tempting.
VertdeVin
The nose is fruity, racy and offers complexity as well as a beautiful freshness. It reveals notes of quince, crystallized lemon and a touch of candied mirabelle plum associated with a touch of marmalade, verbena, flowers, as well as discreet hints of nuts, exotic fruits, marzipan and spices. The palate is fruity, beautifully fresh, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a beautiful definition, a beautiful finesse, elegance, a slightly acidulous frame, gourmandise as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied lemon, quince and small notes of candied apple associated with fine touches of candied mirabelle plum, marzipan, apricot jam / honey as well as very discreet hints of nutmeg and spices. Good length and beautiful persistence.
Wine Enthusiast
Rich and concentrated, this wine is a success from this difficult vintage. With flavors of ripe apricot, orange marmalade and honey, along with layers of dry botrytis, the wine has all the elements for some good aging. Drink from 2025.
Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Pale to medium lemon-gold colored, the 2018 Clos Haut-Peyraguey offers up bold, expressive notes of orange peel, lemon meringue pie, candied ginger and lime blossoms with hints of nutmeg and almond croissant. The palate has a toasty/savoriness to complement all that vibrant fruit, along with a silken texture and subtly nutty finish.
Druvor
97% Semillon, 3% Sauvignon Blanc.
