Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
Chocolate mint, black cherries, and black raspberries provide the backdrop for this elegant, charmer. Fresh, fruity, and early drinking, the wine is soft, and silky in texture, with vibrancy in the bright, almost creamy finish. Enjoy this on the young side while waiting for the Grand Vin to develop. The wine blends 90% Merlot with 10% Cabernet Franc. 13.5% ABV. Drink from 2027-2040.
Robert Parker Wine Advocate
A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the 2024 La Petite Eglise offers up aromas of dark berries, spices and licorice, followed by a medium-bodied, compact palate with tangy acids and firm structuring tannins.
Jeb Dunnuck
Starting with the 2024 La Petite Eglise, this blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc was raised in 60% new barrels. It's a ripe, supple Pomerol loaded with dark cherry and red plum fruit alongside notes of damp earth, leafy herbs, and violets. Medium-bodied and nicely textured, it has a polished, rounded mouthfeel and solid overall balance.
