Robert Parker Wine Advocate
An intriguing blend of 48% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot, this inky purple-colored wine is ripe, progressively styled, big, rich, thick and juicy. In other words, the 2012 Lascombes is loaded. No doubt the high percentage of Merlot in the final blend gives this wine a fleshiness and succulence that is unusual in the Médoc. Rich, pure and full, it should hit its prime in another 4-5 years and last at least two or three decades.
Wine Enthusiast
Elegant roasted notes, coffee, dark fruit, cassis, spices. Structured and dense with juicy dark fruit, good backbone, young but ripe tannin, balanced acidity and long warm finish.
Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
From a blend of 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, the wine displays an espresso bean, blackberry, and cherry nose, with hints of blue fruit in the background. Ripe, round and open, this should deliver pleasure on the young side of life.
VertdeVin
The nose is aromatic and quite fine. It reveals notes of undergrowth and slight hints of truffle, blackberry and cassis associated with a discreet hint of strawberry, touch of coffee, woody hints as well as slight notes of spices and a very discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral, relatively elegant, racy and offers a mineral frame, a slight juiciness as well as fat. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, morello cherry and slight notes of cassis, crushed strawberry associated with woody touch, touch of roasting and mocha and a very discreet hint of tobacco. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length.
James Suckling
Intense aromas of black cherries, violets, earth and chocolate. Full body, velvety tannins, lovely acidity and long, spicy finish. Grows on you.
Jeb Dunnuck
Possessing a terrific bouquet of saddle leather, wild herbs, cassis and coffee beans, the 2012 Lascombes is rich, full-bodied, concentrated and nicely structured on the palate. With serious fruit intensity, ripe tannin and a great finish, this stacked Margaux will drink nicely for 10-15 years.
Druvor
Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Merlot (40%) and Petit Verdot (5%).
Vinframställning och lagring
Manuellt skördade druvorna sorteras och avskalas sedan. Lätt krossning inträffar under vatting.
