Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
Forward, already open and showing its cedar, tobacco, spicy cassis character with not much effort. This is easy to drink, and will be even better with a few years of age.
Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The 2014 Lynch Moussas was actually more expressive than the 2014 Batailley on the nose with lifted redcurrant, cranberry and wild strawberry scents mingling with sous-bois and tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and a keen line of acidity, well balanced with attractive smoke and tobacco notes complementing the red berry fruit on the finish. This has good potential, a Pauillac that is likely to be underappreciated by the market, yet to register the improvement at the Castèja family's estate.
