On the nose it is elegant, racy and offers power (in control), a nice ripe/fleshy fruit, finesse and a nice racy grain. It reveals notes of bright boysenberry, small wild black fruits, notes of strawberry associated with touches of violet, cherry tree flower, plum as well as hints of cacao, sichuan pepper, black tea and fine hints of spices. On the palate it is fruity, elegant and offers juiciness, gourmandize, a good definition as well as precision, finesse, a small tension, a fine airy side in the approach despite its power/ concentration, freshness, a small creaminess and a nice grain racy fine. The wine expresses notes of juicy/bright strawberry, boysenberry, hint of black plum associated with touches of fresh strawberry, cornflower, plum tree flower as well as subtle notes of blueberry, zan, sweet spices, a discreet touch of pepper and cardamom/cacao. The tannins are precise, structured and racy. Good length.

Falstaff

Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, brightening at the rim. Somewhat restrained nose; ripe plums fine noble wood nuances, gentle undertow of bourbon vanilla, a little nougat. Juicy, elegant, ripe dark berry fruit, good freshness, fine, integrated tannins, chocolate note on the finish. Has ageing potential.

James Suckling

Notes of ripe dark fruit, chocolate, graphite, dried flowers and wet earth. Medium- to full-bodied with plush, dusty tannins and firm texture. Structured and powerful. Juicy and blue-fruited palate with a polished finish. Extremely well done. Chalky at the end. Drink from 2026.
