Här redovisar och presenterar vi kända vinskribenters utlåtande om specifika viner. Utöver dessa lägger vi in en egen kommentar när vi har provat samma vin.
Wine Enthusiast
The most beautifully situated chateau, with its great view of the Gironde estuary, Beychevelle is another of those Médoc estates that has found top form after a fallow period in the 1980s and early '90s. The wine's generosity, sweetness and fruit is balanced with the carefully crafted structure of wood that underpins it all.
Tom Cannavan
The nose, for the moment, is dominated by coconutty oak and a fabulous aromatic onslaught of generous kirsch and cassis fruit, with some floral notes. There is plenty of creamy, sweet vanilla on the palate too, but a fine weight of black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, with a chocolaty depth. There is good structure here too, with solid, ripe tannins and a tugging acidity, in a wine that is extremely promising and should drink well from the outset.
VertdeVin
The nose is fruity, elegant and offers power. It reveals notes of very ripe strawberry, ripe blackberry and small notes of underwood associated with small touches of ripe raspberry, incense, violet as well as meaty hints and very fine hints of liquorice. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers richness, fat, a small freshness, tension, juiciness, a juicy/mineral frame as well as a small power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/ripe strawberry, fleshy/ripe raspberry and small notes of blackberry associated with fine touches of fleshy/ripe cherry, hints of underwood, meat/smoke as well as very fine hints of tonka bean, toasted almond and discreet hints of spices (in the background). Tannins are well-built and structuring.
Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Despite the extreme heat of June, July and August, this beautiful wine’s terroir shows through. A dense plum/purple color is accompanied by sweet cassis and black currant aromas, broad, round, juicy fruit flavors, medium body, and hints of figs, spice box and cedar. This complete, juicy, fully mature, impressive wine can be consumed over the next 7-8 years.
Druvor
52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc & 3% Petit Verdot.
