VertdeVin

The nose is fruity, well-built, elegant and offers a racy power, complexity, a beautiful aromatic palet, a very fine richness as well as a racy minerality. It reveals notes of ripe red berries and small notes of crunchy wild blackberry associated with fine touches of crunchy cassis, flowers (violet, iris, a very discreet hint of cornflower as well as discreet hints of liquorice stick. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, very discreetly tight and offers elegance, a good definition, juiciness, a beautiful finesse, a mineral frame (a beautiful racy minerality), power (but well-balanced), a beautiful material, a small creaminess, dynamism, freshness, tension, density as well as a fine richness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, fleshy/juicy red berries and small notes of crunchy cherry associated with a touch of liquorice, toasted, fine hints of Bourbon vanilla as well as a very discreet hint of tea and chocolate. A beautiful fine wine, elegant and racy ! A beautiful aging potential.

Wine Enthusiast

A deceptively smooth texture and black fruits hide a wine that has great density and richness. Firm tannins lie beneath the ripeness. They will allow this wine to age, giving future concentration and depth. Drink the wine from 2027.

Robert Parker Wine Advocate

The 2018 Branaire-Ducru has a medium to deep garnet-purple color and an upfront, expressive nose of baked black plums, boysenberries and Morello cherries with an undercurrent of dried mint, spice box and underbrush. Medium to full-bodied, the palate packs a very pleasant fruit wallop, featuring juicy black fruits and a firm, grainy frame, finishing long with lovely purity.

Druvor

64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot & 3% Cabernet Franc.
