Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
Flowers, black cherries, currants, spice, and tobacco form the core here. The wine is bright, fresh, crisp, gentle, and minty, with a refreshing note on the finish. While this will be delicious when young, give it some time in the bottle, as it will improve with age. Picking took place September 7-September 29. The wine blends 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot, and 1% Carmenere. 13.5% ABV, 3.83 pH. Picking took place September 24 - October 6. Drink from 2028-2045.

The Grand Vin 2024 Château Clerc Milon from this château checks in as 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, Carmenère, and Petit Verdot. The élevage here will span 18 months in 55% new barrels. As always, this has an incredible sense of minerality that reminds me of Saint-Émilion. Ripe black cherries, graphite, crushed stone, and floral notes, as well as nicely integrated oak, all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied, has a pure, layered mouthfeel, and ripe tannins.
James Suckling
Very well-made, showing warm bread and graphite to the darker fruit. Not quite dense, this is balanced, juicy and supple in the center, showing a mix of black and red berries and cedar in the finish. Medium- to full-bodied, focused and nicely structured. It has fine, firm tannins and a long, nuanced finish. Classic Bordeaux without any sweetness.
Druvor
66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot & 1% Carmenere.
Tasting note
'The nose is powerful, aromatic, gourmand, racy, complex and offers a slight intensity and racy minerality. It reveals notes of blackberry and pepper associated with slight notes of ripe strawberry, peony / flowers, gray pepper as well as hints of toasted oak / cocoa and sweet spices / spices. The palate is fruity, acidulous and offers a beautiful juicy frame, a slight freshness, a very slight minerality, a beautiful delicacy, a slight concentration, a beautiful finesse as well as a beautiful purity of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, black cherry and slight hints of fleshy raspberry, redcurrant combined with hints of plum, cassis, toasted oak as well as a subtle / discreet hints of Lapsang Souchong tea, sweet spices and a subtle hint of cocoa on the finish. Outstanding wine !'
