VertdeVin
On the nose, racy and offers a nice fine texture, subtle power, intensity, fine complexity and a little airy character. It reveals notes of ripe wild blackberry, pulpy wild strawberry and touches of crushed small red fruits combined with hints of cuben pepper, nutmeg, spice and a discreet nuance of pepper in the background. On the palate, minerality with a discreet tightness, freshness, juiciness, good definition, some juiciness, tension, concentration, fine/somewhat tight texture, roundness and fullness. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, fresh/juicy red berries and hints of fresh/juicy cassis combined with touches of purple plum, graphite, racy minerality and subtle tonka bean, tea and a waft of chocolate/toast. Good length. The tannins are precise and well conducted.

Flowers, black raspberries, red and black currants, licorice, oak and spearmint create the perfume. On the palate, the wine is ripe, round and loaded with sweet, vibrant, clean, red berries that taste and feel just great! As I wrote earlier, Cos Labory has really upped their game lately. This makes three solid vintages in a row! Give it just a year or two in the cellar and it promises to be even better. Drink from 2025-2040.

Displaying a deep purple-black color, the 2020 Cos Labory offers classic cassis, ripe plums and kirsch notes, followed by hints of pencil shavings, red roses and damp soil. The medium-bodied palate has great tension and nice, ripe, grainy tannins supporting the tightly wound red and black fruits, finishing on a lingering mineral note.
