Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2020 D'Angludet comes skipping out of the glass with cheery, upfront scents of baked blueberries, stewed plums and redcurrant jelly, plus wafts of chocolate box and potpourri. The medium-bodied palate is juicy and refreshing, offering soft tannins and a satisfyingly fruity finish.
Jeb Dunnuck
Lots of ripe red plums, cherries, damp herbs, iron, and sandalwood notes emerge from the 2020 Château D'Angludet, a ripe, plump, mouth-filling Margaux revealing some background chocolaty oak, plenty of mid-palate depth, and ripe, round tannins. I like it today but see no reason it shouldn't evolve for 15 years if well-stored.
Druvor
43% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon & 12% Petit Verdot.
Tasting note
'Produced with the old vines of the property. They produce red wines capable of evolving for years. The vintages follow one another but are not alike. This is the beauty of the personality of wine. The wines have a great aging capacity. In their youth, the wines are vibrant, energetic and fresh. They have the finesse and softness that the terroir naturally gives them. They are gradually evolving their golden age filled with subtlety and elegance. Each vintage is different, each vintage tells a story and each vintage has a time to be loved. It can be enjoyed young for some vintages while other years require patience.'
