The Rayne-Vigneau 2010 appears to come on leaps and bounds since its showing in barrel, displaying the chutzpah that I hoped would develop. It has an endearing bouquet with delicate scents of lemon curd, orange peel and a touch of coconut, exhibiting good levels of botrytis. The palate is very smooth on the entry with good acidity, honeyed and lightly spiced fruit and an elegant finish. This is a straight, down-the-line, delicious Sauternes that should elicit pleasure over the next two or three decades. Drink now-2035.

Beautiful nose with red apple, fresh strawberries and vanilla. Some orange, mandarin and honey. This Sauternes is intensely sweet on the palate with good acidity and a long spicy finish. Tangy. Drink or hold.
VertdeVin
The nose is beautifully aromatic (the wine embalms the room as soon as it is opened), elegant, fresh, beautifully built, precise, racy and offers a small crystallized side. It reveals notes of candied yellow peach, crystallized quince, small notes of dry apricot associated with small touches of lychee, crystallized mandarine as well as fine hints of candied vine peach, mango, delicate hints of spices, a racy minerality, honey and pâtisseries. The palate is mineral, elegant, syrupy, well-built and offers a small tension, gourmandize as well as unctuosity, a fine acidulous frame as well as freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied peach, pineapple in syrup, small notes of dry apricot associated with touches of crystallized lemon, candied yellow peach as well as fine hints of crystallized yuzy, honey, hazelnut/dry fruits, brioche, a racy minerality, an imperceptible hint of yellow flowers and pâtisseries.
