Andreas Larsson - Tasted
Clear, dark, ruby colour. Still youthful on the nose with fine purity, a mineral notion, dark plum, chocolate and floral notes. The palate is dense and concentrated without heaviness, very elegant dark fruit, well integrated oak, a gentle toastiness and magnificent quality of tannin. Superbly long and powerful finish; a remarkable wine with a great potential; still in its infancy, but doubtlessly potent.
Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
It is hard to decide what I liked best about this wine. The nose, with its floral, truffle and smoked earth surrounding all the ripe, sweet, red fruits. Or the hedonistic thrill ride on the palate, with its velvety textures, lush plums, cherries and chocolate. Fortunately, I did not need to decide. I dug it all! Pomerol fans should be all over this stunner.
James Suckling
Fresh and clean with hazelnut, chocolate and berry character. Truffles too. Full body, with silky tannins and a tangy finish. I like the balance and finesse to this young Lafleur Petrus. So refined and beautiful.
Decanter Magazine
Perhaps not the depth of today's La Fleur Petrus but packed full of elegant, silky and sexy tannins, and is open right now, ready to welcome you in with tobacco, ash, crushed blackberry and blueberry fruits, chocolate shavings and creamy vanilla bean.

The 2010 Château La Fleur-Petrus is based on 96.5% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and a splash of Petit Verdot. It has a perfumed nose of sweet red and black fruits as well as menthol, flowers, chalky minerality, and loamy earth. This gives way to a medium to full-bodied, concentrated, flawlessly balanced Pomerol that has a juicy, lively mouthfeel, ripe, integrated tannins, and a great finish. It's incredibly complex and, given its balance and purity, is a dream to drink today. However, I see no reason it shouldn't continue to evolve for another two decades if well stored. Drink 2025-2045.

The 2010 La Fleur-Pétrus is a striking wine that is beginning to show brilliantly today. Wafting from the glass with a deep bouquet of dark berry and cherry fruit mingled with black truffles, baking chocolate, loamy soil and subtle hints of cigar wrapper. Full-bodied, deep and concentrated, it's rich and layered, with an elegantly muscular profile and a long, resonant finish. This is a dramatic, sensual and beautifully balanced wine that represents the essence of Pomerol.
