VertdeVin
The nose is fruity, structurated and offers a fine straightness. It reveals notes of cassis, wild blackberry and fine touches of wild strawberry/wild berries, lily/fine touches of varietal associated with touches of zan, spices as well as discreet touches of tobacco. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, slightly tight and offers a fine juiciness, a good definition, suavity, tension, straightness, precision, minerality, finesse, a small fat, a beautiful finesse of the grain, harmony as well as a small smoothness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy cassis and more slightly wild strawberry, wild raspberry associated with fine touches of blackberry, small berries, spices, zan as well as subtle touches of toasted, very discreet touches of flowers (in the background), tonka bean (in the background) and a very discreet hint of almond (in the background). Tannins are fine, supple and elegant. Good persistence. The finish and the persistence are slightly tight.
Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 la Lagune rolls out of the glass with notes of cherry pie, Black Forest cake and warm cassis plus hints of pencil lead, new leather and spice box. Medium-bodied, the palate has great vibrancy with loads of red berries and earthy layers and a firm, chewy frame, finishing lively.
