Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The 2010 is a strong effort and one of their best wines in a generation or more. Some toasty oak seems relatively strong, but not excessive. Deep ruby/purple, notes of black fruits as well as red currants, fig and plum are all present. The wine has a good bit of flesh, fat, but then shuts down in the finish, with moderately high tannins. By all counts, this is an excellent Pauillac that just needs a few years of cellaring to resolve some of its oak and tannin, but has the potential to be outstanding if given sufficient bottle age. It should last for two decades.
Wine Enthusiast
One of the chateaus owned by négociant Borie-Manoux, Lynch-Moussas has produced a fine, stylish 2010, which is firmly based on Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit is rich and ripe, dominated by a blackberry note and underpinned by tannins. This is a chateau to watch.
VertdeVin
The nose is fresh, elegant and offers an aromatic power as well as complexity. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of quite ripe raspberry, dry cherryand small notes of quite ripe cassis associated with touches of violet, wild strawberry as well as hints of underwood, camphor, toasted almond, a hint of truffle, black pepper and bergamot. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, gourmandize, elegance, volume as well as gourmandize, ampleness, a certain richness, fullness, a mineral frame, a beautiful definition and a small unctuosity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quite ripe raspberry, wild strawberry, small nots of crushed cassis associated with touches of violet, lily as well as hints of almond, nutmeg, very discreet hints of underwood, a subtle hint of cinnamon and bergamot. Tannins are finely firm. A fine salinity on the finish/persistence.
