Här redovisar och presenterar vi kända vinskribenters utlåtande om specifika viner. Utöver dessa lägger vi in en egen kommentar när vi har provat samma vin.
James Suckling
For the very ripe vintage this has a herbal and wet earth nose that's very cool. Then on the palate there’s a ton of ripe cassis, polished fine tannins and a tremendous freshness powering the very long dry finish. One of the stars of the vintage that's just beginning to enter its best form. This is normally a perfect wine but perhaps not a perfect bottle? Drink or hold.
Tom Cannavan
Cabernet Sauvignon 64%, Merlot 30%, Cabernet Franc 5%, Petit Verdot 1%. 60% new barrels. Deep, powerful, plum and spice nose with notes of dark soy and a background of charry toast. Lovely sweetness to the fruit on the palate, with those big tannins coating the mouth, but they are quite silky and the ripeness and richness is there.
Gilbert & Gaillard
Pure nose, well defined, small black fruits. Expressive palate, structured, lots of fine tannins that are very tight and need time to soften. Will be lovely after ageing

The second vintage for the Bouygues family is quite successful for vintage. Smoke, tobacco, forest floor, cigar and black currant aromatics are there. The wine is soft and probably close to, if not already fully developed. The spicy, dark red pit fruit and tobacco filled finish has a lot of charm.
Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Tasted at BI Wine & Spirits' 10-Years-On tasting, the 2007 Montrose has a crisp, earthy, tobacco-scented bouquet with sage and clove developing in the glass—clearly a Saint Estèphe that is determined to succeed in an off-vintage, which this estate is masterful at doing. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin. This bottle felt compact for this vintage, one of the few 2007s that merit decanting. However, there is undeniably plenty of freshness and a welcome touch of spice towards the finish. Linear in style, this is one of the few 2007s that should improve with bottle age.
