The nose is fruity, velvety, tight, full and offers precision and elegance. It reveals notes of blackberries, cassis, spice and fine notes of cassis jam associated with slight woody notes, liquorice, acidulous candy and a hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, fresh, velvety, relatively gourmand and offers a beautiful frame and precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and touches of plum associated with slight notes of licorice, a hint of toasted oak, Sichuan pepper and spices. Tannins are fine, well-built and very slightly dry. Good length and persistence.
Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
The ripe, dark fruits, truffle, licorice and smoky personality is just great. Full bodied, with jubilant, chunky, red fruits, ripe tannins and sweet, rustic cherries in the end note.

The 2015 Château Poujeaux is a Cabernet Sauvignon dominated red that includes 42% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. It’s a medium-bodied, classic, workhorse styled beauty offering lots of currant and black cherry fruits, plenty of minerality, fine tannin and solid concentration. It has more density than most Moulis and will keep for 10-15 years.
Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The 2015 Poujeaux is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. It has a high-toned, floral bouquet with kirsch and raspberry coulis notes, opulent for this Moulis, but it manages to retain control. The palate is chewy on the entry with mouth-coating tannin, solid in the mouth, brutish at the moment, although the finish does show satisfactory freshness, and is long and minerally. This will be intriguing once in bottle.
