VertdeVin
(66% Sauvignon Blanc, 34% Semillon) The nose is aromatic, marked by the “Sauvignon”. It reveals notes of exotic fruits, eucalyptus, acacia and slight notes of nectarine and citrus. The palate is fruity, fat, ample and balanced. In the mouth it expresses notes of grape, pineapple, grapefruit and slight notes of fleshy fruit combined with a hint of lemon as well as sweet spices and toasted oak. Good length.
Wine Enthusiast
This second wine of whites from both Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion is both rich and intensely crisp. It has a fine blend between great acidity and grapefruit fruit and a more tropical element. The tangy texture is taut with a mineral edge. Drink from 2020.
Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The 2014 La Clarte de Haut-Brion Blanc has a lively bouquet with scents of lime flower, citrus fruit and freshly sliced grapefruit, the oak neatly integrated (39% new oak used this year). The palate is well balanced with a pleasant fatness on the entry, slightly honeyed with veins of lemongrass and ginger struck through the finish. Sure, it lacks a little persistence, but its sheer drinkability cannot be denied.

Tasting note
'There is a riot of aromas as soon as you put your nose into the glass. The considerable freshness is complemented by citrus (grapefruit) and tropical fruit (pineapple) nuances and even a touch of white truffle. This same aromatic complexity carries over to the palate, which is remarkably fresh and fruity. 2012 La Clarté de Haut-Brion is rich, with a soupçon of bitterness and a salty tang on the finish that calls for another glass. This is well and truly a delicious wine.'
