Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The 2010 Le Petit Mouton is one of the best ever made. Philippe Dhalluin has conjured such purity on the nose that it's almost like Bordeaux doing an impression of Burgundy, though the latter would not be sporting those subtle cedar and mint aromas. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, much more approachable than other 2010 Pauillacs, but with tremendous sensuality and poise, a saline note on the finish lending length and detail. This is highly recommended. Tasted August 2016.
James Suckling
This is really exceptional with beautiful chocolate and blackberry character. It's full and velvety with gorgeous ripe tannins. Loving this. Wonderful richness and length.
Tom Cannavan
Fine, cedar-touched black fruit, a touch of something fresh and lightly herbal. The palate has a fine juiciness of fruit: there is plenty of slightly resinous oak at this stage, but the quality and refinement of the fruit is lovely, and the tannins really quite moderate, with a juiciness and cherry freshness in the finish of this relatively pretty wine.
Druvor
62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot & 3% Cabernet Franc.
Tasting note
'Smoky, roasted and gravelly nose packed with dark berries, cassis and tobacco notes, very similiar to the Grand Vin, yet one size smaller on the palate, yet not lacking in concentration offering a nice mouthfeel with plenty of smoky dark fruit, finely rounded tannin and nice polish with a very long and elegant finish.'
