Robert Parker Wine Advocate
From fully 50 hectares of vineyards in Listrac and Cussac, planted with a majority of Merlot, the 2019 Madame de Beaucaillou offers up aromas of blackberry and cassis, framed by a deft application of creamy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, bright and lively, with powdery tannins and a saline finish, it's a hearty, chunky, flavorful wine that will round out with a bit of bottle age.
VertdeVin
The nose is racy and offers a small power as well as harmony. It reveals notes of cassis, wild strawberry, small notes of small wild red fruits associated with small touches of spices, nutmeg, discreet hints of pepper and an imperceptible hint of fresh tobacco. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, racy and offers a good finesse of the grain, harmony, suavity, a good definition as well as an acidulous frame, a fine tension and a fine straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, small pulpy/juicy red fruits, small notes of pulpy cassis associated with fine touches of violet, nutmeg, fresh mild tobacco, discreet hints of spices and chocolate. Good length. Very fine hints of almond/crushed hazelnut and caramelization on the finish/persistence. A very fine chew on the finish/persistence. Good persistence.
James Suckling
Really floral and pretty with currants, cherries and some violets and stones. Medium-bodied with a creamy texture. Attractive tannins and stony undertones. A large percentage of merlot with the cabernet, making it fresh and firm. Sophisticated. Better after 2024.
Druvor
58% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon & 3% Petit Verdot
