The nose is racy and offers minerality, tension and a fine grain. It reveals notes of blackberry, racy minerality and small notes of Cuben pepper associated with fine touches of violet, very ripe blackcurrant as well as fine hints of raspberry and nutmeg. The mouth is fruity, well-balanced and offers a fresh/mineral frame, a good length and gourmandize. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy raspberry, fleshy/juicy cherry and small notes of blackberry associated with touches of violet as well as very discreet hints of nutmeg, caramelization and a subtle hint of racy minerality. Good length. Tannins are elegant.

This is very punchy with blackcurrants and fresh with crisp minerals. Medium body. A blend of 57% merlot, 38% cabernet sauvignon and 5% cabernet franc. Second wine of Chateau Clerc Milon. Better after 2020, but already delicious.

Composed of 65% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc (with no new oak), the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Pastourelle de Clerc Milon is very plummy on the nose with black currant pastilles notions plus spice cake and powdered cinnamon with touches of potpourri and dusty soil. The palate is medium-bodied, juicy and refreshing with plush tannins and good length. Delicious now!
