Falstaff
Deep ruby garnet, violet glints, faint watery rim. Fragrant floral scents underlaid with sweetheart cherries, a hint of dried rose petals, hibiscus, mild notes of liquorice, and a dash of bergamot, inviting spiciness. Juicy, tightly structured with notions of ripe cherries, crisp acidity, fine, ripe tannins exhibiting a silky-smooth style. Delightfully expressive on the finish, already approachable. A wine of almost ʺBurgundianʺ elegance with ageing potential. (2021-2045)
VertdeVin
The nose is aromatic, elegant, racy and offers a controlled power, deepness and intensity. It reveals notes of bright blackberry, bright raspberry and small notes of small crushed red berries associated with small touches of bright violet plum, iris, lily as well as fine hints of timut and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy/mineral frame, freshness, elegance, a certain aromatic purity, suavity, a small fat, a certain straightness/fullness and a good structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright blackberry, plumand small notes of small bright red berries associated with touches of lily, violet as well as hints of chocolate, toasted, fresh hazelnut, a very discreet hint of black tea and toasted oak. Good length. Tannins are precise, well-built and offer a fine firmness. A small hint of zan/dark chocolate in the persistence.
Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
Medium-bodied, fresh, with a focus on sweet, red cherries, raspberries, flowers and earth. Soft, silky, fresh and vibrant, give it just a few years in the cellar. The wine is a blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. The yields were quite low at 22 hectoliters per hectare.
