VertdeVin
The nose is fruity, well-built, finely tight and offers a fine concentration as well as a very fine power. It reveals notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, small wild berries, small notes of violet associated with fine touches of raspberry, crushed redcurrant as well as subtle hints of cherry, a very discreet hint of incense and spices/camphor. The palate is beautifully juicy, well-built and offers gourmandize, a fine acidulous frame, a certain tension as well as an acidulous frame, juiciness and a fine finely tight gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, pulpy raspberry, small notes of cherry associated with touches of small pulpy black berries, lily, lilac as well as hints of toasted, tonka bean, graphite and a very discreet hint of cardamom. Good length. A persistence on notes of cocoa/bitterness of the cocoa, chocolate, caramelization an sugared mild tobacco.
Wine Enthusiast
The second wine of this estate, formerly La Parde de Haut-Bailly, is a good reflection of the top wine. Firm tannins are embellished by black fruits that give richness and density. While tannins are there, the wine is generously textured and set for great medium-term aging. Drink from 2025.
Falstaff
Deep ruby colour, purple reflections. Delicate nougat and herbs, fine nutty aromas, dark berries and some cassis, inviting aromas. Full-bodied, ripe cherries, chocolate, well-integrated tannins, mineral, fine fruit expression on the finish, lingers, a highly elegant food wine.
Druvor
70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon
