Wine Maniacs
This wine showcases superbly expressive dark fruits with tension on the palate. Racy and firm, it boasts nicely textured tannins. Good quality oak imparts evident vanilla and coconut notes on the nose and palate, supporting the wine gracefully. Long-lasting, vibrant acidity adds to its allure.
Raffaele Vecchione - WinesCritic.com
Agile with a decidedly floral profile, it displays notes of wisteria, lemon, mandarin, jasmine, and acacia. The undertone is very fresh. Medium-full body, crisp on the palate, and a savory and flavorful finish. Drink now.

A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, and 1% Carménère aged 18 months in 50% new barrels, the 2023 Château Kirwan is a solid Margaux with a deep purple hue and a juicy nose of red, blue, and black fruits intermixed with smoky tobacco, minty herbs, and spicy wood. On the palate, it's pretty, balanced, and elegant, already offering plenty of pleasure yet built to evolve gracefully. I love its purity of fruit. Drink 2030-2050.
James Suckling
Solid, showing fine spices, white pepper and a touch of minerals to the fresh cassis and berries. Cohesive and almost chalky, with medium body and a long, linear finish. Juicy, precise and pristine. 65% cabernet sauvignon, 23% merlot, 5% cabernet franc, 6% petit verdot and 1% carmenere. Will age well in the next 10 to 15 years. Drink or hold.

Tasting note
Exhibiting aromas of sweet black fruits and licorice mingled with hints of creamy new oak, the 2020 Kirwan is medium to full-bodied, deep and fleshy, with polished tannins, notably tangy acids for the vintage, and a suave, seamless profile despite its creditable concentration. In terms of aromatic purity and managed extraction, this is the finest Kirwan for some time.
