The 2014 Marquis-de-Terme offers strawberry preserve and raspberry coulis on the nose, quite pure and generous, though I would like to see more mineralité and terroir expression. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. The oak needs to fully knit on the entry, though there is sufficient fruit to absorb that with time, and the finish feels caressing in the mouth. If this can foster more terroir expression, more personality, then it will merit a higher score. It's like a film director yelling at the actress... give me more!

Chocolate and vanilla on the nose and bold dry tannins on the palate. They need some time to harmonize, but there’s a lot of depth, and this has great ageing potential!

The nose is elegant. It reveals notes of ripe fruit combined with hints of cherry, truffle, flowers (in the background), woody notes and undergrowth. The palate is fine and elegant, racy, mineral and offers a nice tension. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackcurrant, strawberry, raspberry and blackberry combined with toasted oaky notes and a hint of coffee. Tannins are fine, a bit grainy and tight. Good length.
